‘Dancing the Data’ - a seminar for research students

This seminar helps research students to better ‘dance with their data’. This is an experiential, yet practical, seminar with in-class exercises and demonstrations. Participants will learn ways to re-craft their research experience in a way that would enhance and draw on their personal strengths. We review some insights from positive psychology on the motivations for work in general and research in specific, and drill down into specific techniques for identifying opportunities for amplifying one’s positive research experience. These include methods for self reflection and of integrating creative skills in ones work. This class is for anyone who wishes to seriously engage in their own research process, and not only the product, and to make their work a true signature piece.
